FAQ

Mobile Pet Grooming FAQ

**How often should I schedule grooming for my pet?**

Most dogs need grooming every 4-6 weeks. Short-haired breeds like Beagles can stretch appointments to 8-10 weeks. Long-haired breeds such as Golden Retrievers or Poodles need grooming every 3-4 weeks to prevent painful matting and tangles.

Cats typically need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Persian and Maine Coon cats benefit from monthly sessions due to their dense, easily matted coats.

**What services do you include in a standard grooming package?**

We provide a complete grooming experience right in our mobile unit. Every appointment includes:

– Pre-grooming health check
– Nail trimming and filing
– Ear cleaning and inspection
– Bath with premium shampoos
– Thorough blow-drying
– Brush-out and de-shedding
– Sanitary trim
– Final styling cut

**How long does a typical grooming session take?**

Small dogs under 25 pounds take 45-60 minutes. Medium dogs require 60-90 minutes. Large breeds need 90-120 minutes for complete grooming.

We never rush your pet. Our team works at your dog’s comfort level, especially for anxious or senior pets who need extra patience and frequent breaks.

**Do you groom cats in your mobile unit?**

Yes, we groom cats every day. Our mobile salon creates a calm environment away from barking dogs and unfamiliar sounds. Most cats feel more relaxed in our quiet, controlled space than in a busy grooming shop.

We specialize in senior cats and those with behavioral challenges. Our groomers have successfully handled over 500 “difficult” cats in the past year alone.

**What happens if my pet has fleas or other parasites?**

We inspect every pet before grooming begins. When we find fleas, we use specialized flea shampoos during the bath. We then recommend follow-up treatments from your veterinarian.

Our team contacts your veterinarian immediately if we discover skin conditions, unusual lumps, or parasites that need medical attention. We document everything and provide you with detailed written notes after each appointment.

**Can you handle anxious or aggressive pets?**

Our groomers work with nervous pets daily. We use positive reinforcement techniques and take breaks when needed. Many dogs who snap or growl at traditional salons behave calmly in our one-on-one mobile environment.

For extremely anxious pets, we offer shortened “introduction visits” where your dog just gets used to our van and equipment. This builds trust before the first full grooming session.
